Tripoli: An expanded security meeting at the Tripoli Security Directorate focused on discussing the implementation of security arrangements. Members of the Interim Committee for Security and Military Arrangements, formed by the President of the Presidential Council, agreed during their meeting to prepare a comprehensive security plan, coordinated with relevant authorities. This meeting, held at the Directorate's headquarters, was led by Tripoli Security Director, Major General Khalil, and involved members of the committee formed under Presidential Council Resolution No. (34) of 2025 as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and consolidate stability within the capital.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed implementation mechanisms for the security arrangements plan and explored ways to improve coordination and integration between the relevant security and military agencies. This coordination aims to ensure the highest levels of readiness and preparedness for assigned tasks. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the Tripoli Security Directorate would prepare a comprehensive security plan, which will be implemented immediately upon completion by the committee assigned by the Presidential Council. This committee oversees the withdrawal of all armed forces and the return of military vehicles to their headquarters, marking a first step toward imposing security and extending state authority.

The participants highlighted that implementing this plan will represent a significant shift in efforts to secure the capital. It is intended to strengthen state authority, enforce the rule of law, and ensure the security and safety of citizens.
