Tripoli: The General Electricity Company announced today the completion of civil works for a project aimed at connecting three power transmission stations with electrical cables in the Tajoura and Souq Al-Jumaa areas.
According to Libyan News Agency, the company explained in a post on its official page that the project includes connecting the Bir al-Usta Milad, the proposed Isban, and the new Shatt al-Hanshir stations with 220 kilovolt electrical cables, extending approximately 15 kilometers.
This initiative is part of the company's efforts to enhance the efficiency of the electricity grid and improve its performance. It aims to keep pace with the rapid population and urban growth in the eastern areas of Tripoli, particularly in Tajoura and Souq al-Jumaa. Additionally, it is expected to contribute to the stability of the electricity supply, thereby meeting the needs of the citizens in these regions.
