Al-Manfi Engages with British Deputy Chief of Defense Staff on Military Cooperation


Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Manfi, held discussions with Lieutenant General Pilot Harvey Smith, the Deputy Chief of the British General Staff for Defense Strategy and Military Operations, in a meeting in Tripoli. This meeting was part of a visit by the British delegation to Libya and aimed to strengthen military ties.



According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures, including Libya’s Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, Head of the Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Hussein Al-Aib, and British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden. The discussions focused on enhancing security and military cooperation between Libya and Britain. They also explored initiatives to support the military institution in Libya and joint efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime.
