Tripoli: The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Haddad, met with the head of the UN mission, Hanna Tetteh, and her delegation in Tripoli. Al-Haddad welcomed Tetteh, expressing his hopes for her success and commending the contributions of previous UN envoys to Libya's political process.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Haddad emphasized his commitment to supporting initiatives that uphold Libya's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. Tetteh acknowledged Al-Haddad's efforts to resolve conflicts, aiming for stability and peace in the region.
Tetteh also highlighted her hopes for the United Nations to play a constructive role in supporting Libya and aiding the Libyan people in their quest for stability and development.
