Changsha: The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, participated in a series of bilateral meetings during the Ministerial-Level Coordinators' Meeting for the Implementation of the Outcomes of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, held in Changsha, China.

According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour engaged in discussions with Somali Foreign Minister, Abdisalam Abdi Ali. Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in critical areas and supporting stability and development initiatives in their respective countries. The Somali Minister expressed Somalia's full support for Libya, leveraging its anticipated non-permanent membership in the Security Council for the term 2025-2026. Al-Baour, in turn, reaffirmed Libya's commitment to Somalia's stability and agreed on the necessity for future official visits between the two nations.

In another key meeting, Al-Baour conferred with Chen Xiaodong, President of the China International Development Cooperation Agency. They discussed the reopening of the Chinese embassy in Tripoli, the return of Chinese enterprises to Libya, and the bolstering of development cooperation between China and Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that these meetings signify Libya's ongoing efforts to fortify its diplomatic influence and broaden its international alliances, aiming to foster stability and reconstruction within the region.
