Tripoli: A tripartite meeting was held at the Cabinet in Tripoli to review financial disclosure and transparency mechanisms in strategic projects. The meeting aimed to ensure compliance with approved financial and administrative standards.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as the Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi; the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi; and the Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister's Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea. Discussions were centered around performance reports of vital projects and the mechanisms for publishing their financial data. The goal was to ensure that the public and oversight institutions are fully informed of relevant details, including funding sources, contracting mechanisms, and implementation phases.

The meeting also highlighted the need to expand the electronic project disclosure portal and link it to the tender and contract monitoring platform. This move is intended to enhance the confidence of citizens and international bodies in the credibility and transparency of public spending.

This initiative follows the instructions of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, who emphasized that improving financial governance and transparency at all stages of project implementation is a top government priority. He considers it essential for ensuring the sustainability of public funding and fairness in resource distribution.
