Orlando: The Head of the European Union Delegation to Libya, Ambassador Nicola Orlando, stressed the importance of protecting the integrity and independence of oversight institutions, especially the Audit Bureau, as essential to addressing corruption and misuse of public funds, and building a transparent, citizen-centered administration.

According to Libyan News Agency, this emphasis was made in a tweet posted by Orlando on his X platform account, following his meeting in Tripoli with the President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak. During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing support provided by the European Union and explored new ways to enhance the Bureau's effectiveness in its oversight responsibilities.
