Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, engaged in discussions with the political mediation team regarding the Council's vision for a political solution within the country. The discussions focused on institutional consensus and the completion of the electoral process under a transparent legal framework.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli. The mediation team received an in-depth explanation of proposals related to the UN roadmap, focusing on the formation of the High National Elections Commission, electoral laws, and strategies to bridge the gap between the High Council of State and the House of Representatives. These efforts aim to ensure the completion of the roadmap's phases, culminating in comprehensive elections.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the country's living and economic conditions. Emphasis was placed on the High Council of State's responsibility to oversee the executive authority, work towards reducing the cost of living, control price increases, and guarantee the provision of basic needs for citizens.
