Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, along with Second Deputy Speaker Moussa Faraj, engaged in discussions regarding the political situation in Libya today with Stephanie Khoury, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya. Their conversation focused on efforts to advance the political process in the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, the council stated on its official page that the meeting covered the UN roadmap for a political solution in Libya. They also reviewed observations from the Council’s evaluation and study committee report on the UN roadmap, which had been presented and approved during the Council’s session last Monday.
The efforts to advance the political process are progressing with the aim of reaching the stage of elections and achieving lasting stability in Libya.
