Tripoli: The President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, engaged in discussions with European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicolas Orland, to explore avenues for enhancing joint cooperation. The meeting, held at the Bureau's headquarters in Tripoli, was attended by officials from the Bureau's pertinent departments.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussion centered around the programs and projects implemented by the European Union Mission in Libya. The meeting highlighted the necessity for prior coordination concerning these programs, aligning them with the Bureau's strategic plan. This alignment aims to contribute to the development of the Bureau's oversight capabilities and institutional capacity building.

Both parties emphasized the significance of reinforcing good governance principles and bolstering the independence of Libya's sovereign institutions, particularly the Audit Bureau. They reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing coordination and collaboration to achieve these objectives.
