Al-Qubba: The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, and the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, have reached an agreement on the urgent need to unify the executive authority and establish a unified government. The aim of this initiative is to expedite the organization of presidential and parliamentary elections at the earliest possible date.According to Libyan News Agency, this agreement was reached during a meeting between Saleh and Khoury held today in the city of Al-Qubba. The media center of the Speaker of the House of Representatives shared details of the meeting on its official Facebook page.Saleh emphasized the importance of maintaining cooperation and communication with the United Nations mission and the international community. He also reaffirmed the House of Representatives' commitment to the political agreement and the outcomes of the 6+6 Committee, which are considered crucial steps toward resolving the ongoing political division in th e country.Khoury, on her part, highlighted her ongoing and serious efforts to rebuild trust among the various parties involved by facilitating dialogue and understanding.
