Beddawi: The process of handing over Palestinian weapons to the Lebanese Army began this morning in Beddawi refugee camp, with weapons collected from the headquarters of the Fatah Movement inside the camp and transferred to an army barracks in the Qobbeh area of Tripoli under tight security.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the operation was carried out under the supervision of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, the Palestinian Embassy in Lebanon, and the leadership of the Palestinian National Security Forces. The Lebanese Army had deployed heavily around and at the entrances of the camp since last night to secure the transfer.
Reports indicate that the army received a shipment of weapons loaded onto three trucks from inside the camp.
