Tripoli: The National Unity Government has announced the program for this year's February 17 Revolution celebrations. The events are set to coincide with the first night of the holy month of Ramadan, offering brief and symbolic national commemorations.

According to Libyan News Agency, the government stated that the celebrations will be informal and popular, in line with the spirit of the holy month. These events will take place after the Isha prayer, or following the Taraweeh prayer if the occasion aligns with the first night of Ramadan. This timing allows citizens to engage in the spiritual and patriotic atmosphere of the celebrations.

The planned program includes a drone light show, expected to be the largest of its kind in Libya, which will depict national scenes and convey messages of unity and solidarity. There will also be a fireworks display symbolizing pride in the unified Libyan identity. Additionally, a group performance of traditional songs and muwashahat will celebrate authentic Libyan heritage. A symbolic segment will honor the revolution's martyrs and renew the commitment to their sacrifices.

The government has called upon citizens to take part in this event at Martyrs' Square as a demonstration of unity and solidarity.
