Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has expressed its approval of the newly announced ceasefire agreement in the Arabian Gulf. It has voiced its commitment to initiatives that aim to establish a lasting and comprehensive settlement, enhancing security and stability both regionally and internationally.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry released a statement yesterday on its official page, highlighting its appreciation for the mediators and negotiators involved in the ceasefire discussions. The Ministry acknowledged the sense of responsibility demonstrated by all parties, which facilitated the agreement, and reiterated its ongoing support for diplomatic efforts that promote international peace and security.
The Ministry also conveyed its hope that the ceasefire agreement would be a constructive step towards establishing a comprehensive and sustainable truce. This, in turn, would contribute to reducing regional tensions, safeguarding security, and preventing
actions that could compromise the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states involved.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that achieving lasting peace necessitates prioritizing dialogue, committing to peaceful resolutions, and utilizing diplomatic channels as the primary means for resolving conflicts.
