Major General Abu Zriba Discusses Security Plan for Embassies and Consulates

Tripoli: Major General Essam Abu Zriba, the Minister of Interior in the parliament-appointed government, held a meeting with Major General Ziad Nasser Al-Hassi, the Director of the General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, to discuss the security plan for securing embassies and consulates, as well as the proposed vision for their locations.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting involved the presentation of the Department's work report for the year 2024, in addition to the semi-annual report for 2025. These reports detailed the significant tasks accomplished and outlined the stages of implementing the general plan for the protection of diplomatic missions, embassies, and consulates accredited within the country during the past period.

Major General Abu Zriba commended the efforts of the Department and its staff, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation with relevant parties to ensure the highest standards of security and safety for diplomatic missions within the country.
