Tripoli: The head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, announced that Libya’s oil production has reached 1.363 million barrels per day, marking the first time since 2013 that the nation has achieved this level of output.
According to Libyan News Agency, Dabaiba shared this information on Thursday through his official Facebook page. He indicated that reaching this significant production figure is a part of the government’s plan to develop the oil sector further, with a target to increase production rates to two million barrels by the end of 2025.
Dabaiba highlighted that these efforts are expected to strengthen the Libyan dinar, improve the standard of living for citizens, stabilize the national economy, and enhance services. He emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that every effort and decision will be directed towards achieving these goals.
