Tripoli: The Head of the National Safety Authority met with the Liaison Officer at the German Embassy in Libya to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing communication and coordination between the Authority and its German counterpart, in a way that contributes to developing the work system in the areas of safety and civil defense.According to Libyan News Agency, during the meeting held yesterday at the Authority's headquarters, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation through the exchange of expertise and experience in crisis management, risk assessment, and emergency response. Additional topics included training and capacity building, improving the efficiency of human resources, and developing the capabilities of field teams in line with the latest international standards and practices.Discussions also covered firefighting and disaster response, as well as strengthening technical and logistical coordination in dealing with major incidents and natural and industrial disast ers.Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing and developing this cooperation through joint work programs, in a manner that strengthens emergency response capabilities, contributes to improving public safety, and helps protect lives and property.
