Istanbul: The Libyan Embassy in Turkey confirmed the release of citizen Othman Al-Zaalouk by the Minor Criminal Court in Istanbul. The court decided on July 11, 2025, to release Al-Zaalouk after determining that there were no other cases pending against him.

According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy issued a statement indicating that the decision was based on legal findings and a technical expertise report provided by the competent court. The embassy emphasized its proactive involvement in Al-Zaalouk's case, coordinating efforts with the Consulate General and an assigned law firm from the outset.
