Libyan Embassy in Niamey Addresses Conditions of Libyan Prisoners in Niger

Niamey: The Libyan Embassy in Niamey is actively addressing the conditions of Libyan prisoners detained in Niger. The Charg© d'Affaires at the Libyan Embassy, Abdul Rahman Al-Hadi Khamada, held discussions with Maman Sidou, the Director of the Department of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, on the circumstances surrounding these prisoners. The meeting also included Youssef Kaka, an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on the challenges faced by the embassy's consular section in managing the affairs of the detained Libyan nationals. This initiative is part of the embassy's broader commitment to safeguarding the rights of Libyan citizens residing outside their homeland.

Additionally, the meeting covered various issues of mutual interest aimed at enhancing the friendly relations and cooperation between Libya and Niger, reflecting the shared interests of both nations' peoples.
