Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, received the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Anis Mata, and his delegation in Tripoli to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, education, and the energy sector. Discussions also included potential collaboration in infrastructure, trade, services, management of vital facilities, and developing technical competencies. The health sector, transportation, ports, and airports were also part of the dialogue, with an emphasis on leveraging Indonesian expertise.
The meeting underscored the importance of establishing a regular consultation mechanism through a joint committee to strengthen relations between Libya and Indonesia, benefiting the peoples of both nations. International and regional issues, particularly the situation in Gaza, were also reviewed, with both sides affirming their aligned positions on the Palestinian issue.
Both nations agreed to maintain communication and consultation on issues of mutual interest to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.
