Tripoli: The Interior Ministry of the Government of National Unity reported that its security personnel were targeted with gunfire by an infiltrating group on Friday evening in the Janat al-Arif area. The group also utilized fireworks in an attempt to attack public property.According to Libyan News Agency, the ministry emphasized in a statement released on Friday night that it is fully committed to safeguarding state property and is determined to pursue those responsible for the attack on its security personnel. The ministry assured that all necessary measures would be taken to bring the perpetrators to justice.In its statement, the ministry reiterated its dedication to upholding the right to peaceful demonstration in public squares. It stressed that such activities must align with the law and established procedures to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain public order.
