Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, expressed Libya's dedication to providing a secure investment environment for Chinese companies to return and complete stalled projects and engage in new ventures. Dbeibah highlighted the government's commitment to fostering cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in the energy, housing, and infrastructure sectors.According to Libyan News Agency, Dbeibah made these remarks during a dialogue session organized by the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation. The session, titled "The Libyan-Chinese Strategic Partnership: An Analysis of the Current Situation and a Vision for the Future," was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Libya Ma Xueliang, along with several ministers, committee members, directors of public and private entities, and international relations academics.Dbeibah emphasized Libya's progress toward stability and reconstruction, aiming to translate this stability into concrete d evelopment projects benefiting citizens. He acknowledged China as a strategic partner in Libya's reconstruction and development efforts.Chinese Ambassador Ma Xueliang commended the cooperative ties between Libya and China, reaffirming China's support for enhancing the strategic partnership in investment, infrastructure, and technology sectors to serve mutual interests and pave the way for broader future cooperation.Abdulmajid Ibrahim, head of the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation, highlighted the strong Libyan-Chinese relations. He noted the government's vision of building strategic partnerships to support reconstruction and development, utilizing Chinese expertise in infrastructure, energy, technology, and digital transformation to bolster the national economy and enhance investment opportunities.The dialogue session explored various topics, including the historical and diplomatic dimensions of Libyan-Chinese relations, economic opportunities, investment prospects, and the partn ership environment.
