The talks underscored the urgent need to protect civilians from recurring violence and instability, emphasizing the importance of enforcing the law impartially and holding accountable those responsible for criminal activities and human rights violations.

According to Libyan News Agency, UNSMIL highlighted on its official page that the meeting stressed the necessity of strengthening state institutions capable of ensuring effective and neutral security governance. This move aims to contribute to stability and reinforce the rule of law. The discussions also touched on economic governance reforms, including combating fuel smuggling, corruption, and illicit cash flows, while considering the recent findings of the United Nations Panel of Experts report regarding public resource management.
