Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, conducted a field visit to the Al-Malaytah housing project in Misrata. This initiative is part of the Prime Minister's Housing Initiative, which aims to construct 150,000 housing units under the National Housing and Urban Development Program's supervision.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Al-Malaytah project includes 750 housing units distributed across 350 residential blocks. Each block consists of two floors, with every unit spanning an area of 150 square meters. The development covers a total area of 37 hectares and is equipped with integrated infrastructure, service roads, two schools, a shopping center, a mosque, and a kindergarten.
During the visit, Faisal bin Dardaf, Director General of the National Housing and Urban Development Program, briefed Dbaiba on the progress and components of the project. He confirmed that the work is proceeding according to plan.
Dbaiba highlighted that the project serves as an integrated model offering modern housing and essential services to ensure a decent life for the beneficiary families. He stressed the government's commitment to continuously monitoring these projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to technical standards.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the urgency of completing infrastructure work, including schools, the pumping station, the power station, and the commercial center, to deliver the project fully to its beneficiaries.
The project is being executed in collaboration between the Savings Company and the 2,870 Housing Unit Project of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency.
