Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, has taken steps to oversee the performance of the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Authority, emphasizing the need to enhance its efficiency and improve the services provided to pilgrims. In a recent meeting with the newly appointed Chairman of the Authority, Ibrahim Al-Saghir, Dabaiba focused on boosting the administrative efficiency of the organization.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Prime Minister's media office reported that Dabaiba highlighted the importance of adhering to established plans and applying high standards of quality and efficiency across all operations within the Authority. This is aimed at ensuring effective procedures and smooth workflow. Dabaiba also underscored the necessity of organizing work within the Authority to improve service delivery to pilgrims, advocating for an integrated operational environment that enhances the overall pilgrim experience and elevates the Authority's performance on multiple levels.
The media office further detailed that a handover ceremony took place between the new and former Chairman of the Authority, in line with Cabinet Resolution No. (697) of 2025. This ceremony marked the appointment of the Chairman and two deputies of the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Authority, with a focus on ensuring business continuity and enhancing inter-departmental coordination.
These initiatives are part of the broader governmental efforts to improve institutional performance, develop services, and raise the level of efficiency in serving pilgrims.
