Dabaiba Discusses Military Cooperation and Security Challenges with Senegalese Minister of Armed Forces

Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, received the Senegalese Minister of the Armed Forces, Biram Diop, and his accompanying delegation on Monday in Tripoli. The meeting, which was also attended by Chief of General Staff Mohamed Al-Haddad, focused on enhancing military cooperation between Libya and Senegal, as well as addressing training and regional security challenges. According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions also included the potential opening of a Senegalese embassy in Tripoli. This development is seen as significant for boosting cooperation and bilateral relations between Libya and Senegal. Dabaiba emphasized the government's readiness to support and enhance military ties with Senegal, underscoring the necessity for joint efforts to address regional security issues. The Senegalese Minister expressed enthusiasm for expanding military cooperation with Libya, particularly in military training and joint maneuvers.
