Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, has confirmed his unwavering support for the National Oil Corporation's initiatives to enhance oil production and bring stability to the sector. This declaration was made during a meeting with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Bengdara, where they discussed ongoing efforts to bolster production.According to Libyan News Agency, during the meeting, Bengdara provided Dabaiba with an update on the plan to increase oil production. The Prime Minister emphasized the critical importance of advancing development plans to improve the efficiency of the oil sector, ensuring optimal utilization of natural resources to support the country's development. He also commended the significant efforts of workers across various oil sites.Bengdara, on his part, detailed the current status of daily oil and gas production and the progress of development projects aimed at increasing output in line with the Corporation's strateg y. He highlighted the ambitious target of boosting production to 2 million barrels per day.Production has already reached a remarkable level, with 1,374,118 barrels of crude oil and condensates and an additional 202,983 barrels of gas equivalent, totaling 1,577,101 barrels per day.
