Tripoli: The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has disclosed details regarding applications for opening documentary credits executed from August 1 to August 31, 2025. This disclosure is pursuant to Circular No. (2025/10) issued by the Banking and Monetary Supervision Department of the CBL, which outlines the controls governing foreign exchange transactions.

According to Libyan News Agency, the CBL announced in an official circular that this measure aligns with Paragraph (7), Point (10) of the general controls of the mentioned circular. This provision requires parties requesting the opening of letters of credit to consent to the CBL publishing details of those letters of credit.
