Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, held discussions with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, focusing on the latest security developments in Tripoli.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting highlighted national efforts to maintain calm and stability in the capital, particularly through the Interim Security Arrangements Committee formed by a decision from the President. The Media Office of the Presidential Council reported that the UN Envoy praised these initiatives, emphasizing the United Nations' support for efforts aimed at enhancing security and maintaining the truce.

Tetteh also updated Al-Menfi on the preparations for the upcoming Berlin meeting, as per the Media Office. In response, Al-Menfi conveyed his appreciation for coordinated international efforts that support a comprehensive Libyan dialogue. He emphasized his dedication to national principles and asserted that any resolution must align with the will and consensus of the Libyan people, free from external influences.
