Tripoli: Acting Minister of Local Government, Abdulshafi Al-Juwaifi, congratulated the winners of the municipal council elections in Tajoura, Tobruk, Al-Jadida, Sayyad, and Al-Hashan on Wednesday. The elections were conducted under both the party-list and individual candidate systems.

According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Juwaifi praised the high level of organization demonstrated by the High National Elections Commission and the conditions provided by the Ministry of Interior, which ensured the efficient, fair, and effective conduct of the voting process.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry has prepared a comprehensive training program as part of its plan to build and develop the capacities of the newly elected mayors and council members. This program will cover various aspects of local administration, including administrative, legal, financial, technical, and technological matters.
