Tripoli: Al-Taher Al-Baour, the official in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, engaged in discussions on enhancing coordination and protection strategies for UN agencies in Libya with a top UN official.According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour met with Georgette Gagnon, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya. The meeting, which took place at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, focused on the operational status of UN agencies within Libya and the mechanisms of coordination between these agencies and Libyan state institutions to ensure effective performance within agreed frameworks.The discussions extended to ways of bolstering the protection of UN missions, agencies, and personnel.
