Changsha: Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, engaged in discussions with Djibouti's Foreign Minister, Abdul Qadir Hussein Omar, to explore ways of enhancing joint cooperation between Libya and Djibouti. The focus was on supporting efforts aimed at achieving stability and development in both countries.
According to Libyan News Agency, this meeting occurred on the sidelines of the ministerial-level coordinators' meeting for implementing the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, held in Changsha, China. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement noting that the Djibouti Foreign Minister expressed his country's full support for Libya and affirmed Djibouti's readiness to sign a political consultation agreement with Libya. This agreement aims to enhance communication and coordination between the two nations.
Al-Baour reiterated Libya's commitment to supporting the stability of the Republic of Djibouti and praised the bilateral relations between the countries. It was agreed that both nations would exchange official visits in the coming period to further develop joint cooperation.
