The 13th National Pomegranate Festival, held in Al-Baha, concluded yesterday, having yielded some SAR2 million within five days, driven by the nearly 60,000 visitors from all over the Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf.Diverse events were held, and a variety of products were on display at the festival, making it even more attractive for visitors.Ministry of Environment branch in the region Director General Fahd Al-Zahrani said that 75 farmers had their goods on display at the festival, and 60 farmers frequented the auctions. Six e-stores participated in the festival, which positively impacted marketing the farmers' merchandise, and families working in the cottage industry had their goods displayed in five exhibition corners.Al-Zahrani also highlighted the diversity of support programs provided by the ministry to farmers, such as the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Reef Saudi) and the Organic Agriculture Program.Source: Saudi Press Agency
