A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Fiji on Tuesday.

The earthquake occurred south of the Fiji Islands, at a depth of 10 km, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to

US stocks ended higher at the end of the trading session on Tuesday.

The S and P 500 gained 54.75 points, or 0.96%, to end at 5,750.69 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 255.06 points, or 1.42%, to 18,178.97.

Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Tuesday will be hazy at places at first, becoming hot to very hot daytime, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
