172 Sudanese Migrants Deported from Kufra

Tripoli: The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency - Southeast Branch, Kufra Office, announced today the deportation of 172 foreign nationals of Sudanese nationality. The agency's action reflects ongoing efforts to manage immigration issues in the region.

According to Libyan News Agency, the deportation initiative was carried out following the instructions of the agency's head, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifi. The decision to deport these individuals was part of a broader strategy to address the presence of foreigners in Libya, specifically targeting those involved in illegal activities or posing health risks.

The agency further detailed that among the deported individuals were persons with security restrictions. Some of these individuals had undergone medical tests that confirmed they were suffering from serious and infectious diseases. Additionally, there were those who had been apprehended in connection with illegal immigration and smuggling activities, underscoring the agency's commitment to securing national borders and maintaining public safety.
