HODEIDA - SABA: A workshop was held in Bajil district in Hodeida governorate today for the leaders of the eastern square directorates in the governorate, on enhancing the performance of the joint official and community campaign to get rid of mosquito breeding sources and combat their larvae.The workshop, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, aimed to familiarize the leaders of the General Mobilization Forces, directors of the Eastern Square directorates, and the work team of the concerned offices, on the basics of activating performance, following up on motivation and field follow-up of the level of implementation of the campaign.During the workshop, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed guidelines on the responsibilities of the concerned authorities and mobilization representatives for the success of the campaign to get rid of mosquitoes and larvae and prevent malaria and fevers.He stressed the importance of integrating roles to implement the tasks of the campaign to the fullest in the areas of the eastern districts, especially after the heavy rains, to reduce diseases and epidemics through spraying and backfilling of swamps, and educating the community about prevention mechanisms.Al-Madani called on everyone to strengthen the aspects of mobilization for the success of the campaign in cooperation between the relevant authorities to ensure the elimination of sources and causes of disease transmission, and the elimination of malaria vectors.Source: Yemen News Agency
