Tripoli: The World Health Organization-Libya (WHO) has initiated a three-day training workshop in Tripoli to bolster the national expanded immunization program (EPI). The session brings together various national and international health agencies.According to Libyan News Agency, the workshop was co-organized by the National Center for Disease Control and the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with UNICEF and supported by the European Union. The aim is to equip Libyan health teams with the skills to adapt program review tools to the local context, conduct effective field reviews, and implement practical exercises for evaluating vaccination services.This training is part of a broader review of the EPI in Libya, extending over two weeks and covering all regions of the country. It represents a significant effort to enhance Libya's public health system.The WHO stressed that the initiative seeks to develop more efficient and responsive health systems, ensuring that every child in Libya receives vaccines agai nst preventable diseases.Participants acknowledged the support of the European Union, lauding the dedication of health workers in safeguarding children's health and improving community well-being in Libya.
