Wafaa Al-Kilani Meets with UN Deputy to Discuss Cooperation on Social Issues

Tripoli: The Minister of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Wafaa Al-Kilani, engaged in discussions with Ulrika Richardson, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and UN Resident Coordinator in Libya. The talks focused on enhancing joint cooperation in areas such as family, childhood, persons with disabilities, and the empowerment of women.According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting examined programs and projects aimed at improving family conditions, safeguarding children's rights, and providing care and services to persons with disabilities. The discussions placed significant emphasis on developing coordination mechanisms to ensure tangible results.Al-Kilani stressed the importance of partnerships with the United Nations and international organizations to promote social work, empower women, and achieve sustainable and comprehensive development in Libya. Ulrika Richardson highlighted the robust level of cooperation and emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts to support family programs, protect the rights of displaced persons, and advance the national reconciliation process.
