Tunis: The University of Benghazi has actively participated in an international training course aimed at preparing trainers on migration issues. A group of faculty members from the university took part in a Training of Trainers (TOT) course held in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia.
According to Libyan News Agency, the University of Benghazi's media office announced that the event was organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The coordination for the course involved the Ministry of Higher Education and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives. The sessions were led by Dr. Ayman Al-Zahri, who is associated with the American University in Cairo and is a researcher in migration issues and studies.
The primary objective of the training program was to enhance the capacity of participants to design and execute effective training programs focused on specialized academic research related to migration. The course emphasized the use of contemporary research methods and the provision of scientific content that aligns with both local and international developments and challenges in the migration field.
The course concluded with the accreditation of the participating faculty from the University of Benghazi, empowering them to initiate local training programs that aim to strengthen research capabilities in migration studies.
