Doha: UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Libya, Hanna Tetteh, emphasized the UNSMIL's dedication to engaging Libyans in developing a roadmap for national elections and establishing a unified government. This commitment was highlighted during her meeting with H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, the Minister of State of the State of Qatar, in Doha.According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on the recent escalation in Tripoli and strategies for advancing the political process. Both parties emphasized the importance of peace, stability, and security in Tripoli and throughout Libya as essential prerequisites. Tetteh also provided the minister with an update on the outcomes of the Advisory Committee.Tetteh expressed gratitude to the minister for the State of Qatar's ongoing support for UNSMIL's efforts in Libya, acknowledging the crucial role Qatar plays in fostering stability in the region.
