New york: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, has laid out a roadmap intended to guide Libya towards holding general elections and unifying its institutions, acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead. During her briefing to the UN Security Council, Tetteh emphasized the importance of a sequential process to ensure the roadmap's success, drawing from the lessons learned from the failed 2021 elections and the feedback from Libyan citizens.According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh's proposed roadmap is built on three pillars: establishing a technically sound electoral framework, unifying institutions through a new government, and fostering a structured dialogue for broad Libyan participation.
