Ukrainian Army Claims Shooting Down 16 Russian Drones

The Ukrainian air force said on Friday it destroyed 16 out of 17 drones launched by Russia overnight, as well as a reconnaissance drone.

The Ukrainian army stated in a Telegram post that Russia attacked, with 17 drones, some southern and eastern regions of the country, confirming the destruction of 16 drones.

In a related context, regional governor of Dnipropetrovsk region in southern Ukraine Serhiy Lysak, explained that the wreckage of the drones caused material damage to some residential buildings and government institutions in the city of Kryvyi Rih.

Moscow did not comment on Kiev's announcement of shooting down Russian drones, which is the latest in a series of its military operations in Ukraine that have been going on since February 2022.
