Tripoli: U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos emphasized his country's continued support for international efforts aimed at strengthening stability in Libya and empowering a unified, sovereign Libya, commending the role of the UN in facilitating dialogue and national reconciliation.
According to Libyan News Agency, Boulos stated in a tweet that he held a productive meeting with the UN Special Representative for the Secretary General, Hanna Tetteh. The meeting focused on advancing stability in Libya and enhancing the Libyan-led political process. He also appreciated the UN's continuous efforts to facilitate Libyan-led dialogue, stressing the importance of advancing the inclusive national reconciliation process to achieve security and stability in the country.
Boulos reiterated the United States' commitment to supporting international and regional initiatives aimed at unifying Libyan institutions and strengthening their sovereignty.
