Tripoli: The Internal Security Agency has foiled an attempt to smuggle 100.8 kilograms of gold and 1.5 million euros to Turkey via Misrata Airport.The agency reported on its official page that its members, while performing their duties in the inspection procedures for the bags of passengers heading yesterday to Turkey via on board the Sama Mediterranean Company, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of gold and foreign currency.The agency stated that after a thorough inspection, a quantity of (100) kilograms of gold and (800) grams was seized, in addition to a sum of money amounting to (1.5) million euros, distributed over four bags, as the gold was found in three bags, while the sum of money was placed in the fourth bag.Source: Libyan News Agency
