Tripoli: UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, commended the cooperation of the Government of National Unity (GNU), emphasizing that enhancing the economic performance is an essential pillar for the country's stability. During her meeting yesterday with the PM of the GNU, Abdul-Hamid Dbaiba, Tetteh discussed the results of the consultation of the Special Representative at the local and regional levels, the work of the Advisory Committee, the security situation, issues related to illegal migration, and procedures to adjust the exchange rate of the Libyan dinar.According to Libyan News Agency, Dbaiba stressed the need to unify efforts to control public spending, calling for the UNSMIL to support these efforts. The two parties stressed the need to continue cooperation between the GNU and UNSMIL to support the political and economic process aimed at achieving stability in Libya through holding general elections.
