Tripoli: Head of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, welcomed the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Vallat, at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, joined by the Head of the Council’s Political Committee, Mohamed Maazeb. The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Libya and explored avenues for advancing the political process to overcome the existing deadlock.
According to Libyan News Agency, discussions centered on achieving an inclusive national consensus within the framework of the Libyan political agreement. The talks aimed at paving the way for elections based on mutually agreed constitutional and legal foundations. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Libya and France, highlighting joint cooperation to serve common interests and support stability and development efforts.
