Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, engaged in discussions with Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, focusing on matters pertaining to the operation of the Public Prosecution Office and initiatives aimed at fortifying the rule of law, justice, and the safeguarding of rights.
According to Libyan News Agency, during the meeting, Al-Sour provided insights to the President of the Council and members of the Presidency Office regarding the progress of work within the prosecution offices. He detailed the mechanisms employed for applying laws in various cases submitted to the Attorney General's Office.
The discussions also explored strategies to enhance the judiciary's role in combating corruption. The emphasis was placed on the significance of the judicial system in addressing financial and administrative corruption, and in ensuring the effective implementation of justice.
Takala expressed appreciation for the Public Prosecution Office's efforts in upholding the rule of law and justice, protecting rights and freedoms, and combating impunity. He reiterated the Council's unwavering support for the judiciary's mission.
