Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala, met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Libya, Mohammed Rahal, to discuss developments in the Palestinian territories, particularly in the Gaza Strip, in light of the ongoing conflict affecting the Palestinian people.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on the latest humanitarian developments in Gaza, highlighting the challenges amidst the ongoing aggression and blockade. The Palestinian Ambassador stressed the severity of the crisis and called for increased Arab and international efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The discussion also covered the situation of the Palestinian community in Libya, exploring ways to enhance its communication with Libyan state institutions to ensure their safety and rights. The conversation included the participation of Libyan volunteers in the "Sumood Flotilla," an initiative aimed at breaking the blockade on Gaza, which the Palestinian side welcomed and appreciated.
Mohammed Takala reiterated Libya's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and return to their homeland. He emphasized that the Palestinian issue remains a primary concern for Arab nations and assured that Libya will continue to support the resilience of the Palestinian people in their pursuit of freedom and independence.
