Sebha University Partners with British Council to Boost International Exam Programs


Sebha: Sebha University signed a joint cooperation agreement with the British Council to implement and enhance international examination programs. This agreement aligns with the university’s commitment to academic openness and achieving excellence at the local, regional, and international levels.



According to Libyan News Agency, the university stated that the agreement is consistent with its vision of leadership in education, scientific research, and community service. It also aims to strengthen effective partnerships with international institutions to develop qualified professionals capable of meeting the demands of the modern era. Furthermore, the agreement represents a step towards developing the university’s language education system and opening broader horizons for students to obtain internationally recognized certificates, thus enhancing their academic and professional opportunities.



The agreement was signed following a visit by an academic team from the university’s Language Center. The team met with the British Council’s management, including its new director and assistant director, as well as the head of the examinations department and the examinations coordinator.



During the meeting, both sides agreed to organize and administer internationally accredited exams in coordination with each other, starting with the launch of the Aptis exam program, which will be organized and supervised by the Language Center at Sebha University.
