Engineer Saeed Al-Hasiki, a researcher at King Abdulaziz University, has developed an innovation to mitigate extreme heat in Jeddah's urban areas, winning the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) award.His findings focus on the interaction between urban heat and city shaping, and the innovation can reduce perceived temperatures by 5 to 10 degrees Celsius.The project aims to understand heat phenomena in Jeddah and mitigate its impact, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's goal to improve quality of life.Source: Saudi Press Agency
